It has a wonderful piano sound.The organ is running through a brilliant new leslie simulator - we also have a real Leslie cab but it is resting currently. You can get them exactly on a good analog or digital synth - you just need to take some serious time to get it right! The Nord is mainly for piano and organ. All in all, I am keen to find out that which synth engine is your main 'go-to' toy for recreating the Pink Floyd sounds and is subtractive synthesis a better approach to programming PF sounds or FM synthesis or whatever else in your respected opinion.
Therefore, I wonder if you are using Logic synth engines (EXS 24 and ES1/2) for your sound design or are you also relying on the sound design functionality of your hardware keyboards, mentioned above. Now, I am pretty sure that most or your sounds are not stock Yamaha, Roland or Nord keyboard sounds. I think you also use Logic rig, simultaneously as part of your keyboards sound palette. I have seen you guys using Yamaha S90, Roland XP30 and a couple of Nord keyboards. If you program your sounds, which is your main go to synth engine.
Do you sample sounds from the original PF tracks or do you program these sounds yourself? OR do you use a combination of both the methods (e.g., the intro Church bells sequence at the start of High Hopes can never be reproduced with exact accuracy of tones and rhythmic pattern unless it is sampled from the original). I wanted to ask a couple of questions regarding how do you manage to achieve these sounds which are identical to the original Pink Floyd sound palette. I am always highly intrigued and impressed by the quality of sound design in your keyboards section.
